Dick Grayson’s Robin from Batman: The Animated Series — A Collector’s Dream
The world of high-end collectibles is buzzing with the latest announcement from Mezco Toyz: the One:12 Collective Robin figure, straight from the iconic aesthetic of *Batman: The Animated Series*. For fans who grew up with the show, this is more than just an action figure; it’s a piece of nostalgic art. This **Mezco One:12 Robin review** will dive into the details of this highly anticipated figure, exploring its design, accessories, and whether it deserves a spot in your collection.
The Legend of the Boy Wonder
Before he was the formidable hero Nightwing, he was Dick Grayson, the original Robin. First appearing in *Detective Comics* #38 in 1940, Grayson’s origin is one of tragedy and resilience. The youngest member of the “Flying Graysons” circus act, he witnessed his parents’ murder at the hands of a mobster. Bruce Wayne, seeing a reflection of his own loss, took the young boy in and trained him to become his partner in fighting crime. As Robin, he brought a sense of light and hope to the dark streets of Gotham, serving as a perfect counterpart to Batman’s grim demeanor. *Batman: The Animated Series* perfectly captured this dynamic, making this version of the Boy Wonder a fan favorite for decades.
